Hi everybody, and welcome to The Smartest Sprout! My name is Jackie and I’m glad you’re here.

I love children and I want all families to have the tools they need to thrive. Sadly, the marketplace for children & family goods is littered with mindless plastic products, one-time-use merchandise, misleading advertising, and toxic materials. It can be nearly impossible to navigate through this to find what’s best for your family.

I’m passionate about introducing parents to quality educational tools, faith-building resources, non-toxic household essentials, nutritious foods, and environmentally sustainable products.

I believe kids should play with toys that build thinking and creativity, not just keep them occupied. Books should open the door to knowledge and imagination. The things children watch, eat, and use every day all matter. Homes should be filled with products that are safe, useful, and made to last.

Organic merchandise and sustainable materials are growing in popularity, and for all the right reasons. Though not everything I recommend is organic or certified, I frequently give preference to products that are USDA Certified Organic, GOTS Certified, OEKO-TEX Certified, Greenguard Certified, FSC Certified, or hold a similar third-party certification. As long as a product meets my strict safety, functionality, or reusability standards, I want you to know about it.

I only promote products that meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Made with organic, sustainable, or recycled materials
• Reusable
• Multi-functional
• Educational
• High-quality
• Supports health and wellness
• Can simplify tasks or reduce stress
• Encourages strong family values
• Aligns with a Christian worldview
